Paying homage to the life-giving ocean and the enduring pine trees that grace Japan's shores, pure desalinated ocean water is blended with ocean-distilled Japanese malt whiskies and imported grain whiskies, after completing maturation in Japanese pine barrels.
The UMIKI process gives the whisky an exceptional smoothness, with hints of sea breeze on the nose, a floral and rounded taste on the palate, and an enveloping freshness on the finish.
