This is a highly individual wine and a copybook Gewürztraminer: full, bright straw yellow, concentrated with a strong aromatic character reminiscent of dried flowers and rose petals which develops and intensifies in the glass. Full-bodied, luscious but dry on the palate, the opulence cut by vibrant, firm acidity.

La Monella 2018
This is the wine that officially launched the story of Braida: the first grapes used to make this wine were grown in the vineyard owned by grandma Caterina, and granddad wrote the words “La Monella” in chalk on the liveliest barrel of Barbera. It grows in young vineyards, is lively and has never changed, being perfect in its original simplicity. A gaudy purplish ruby red colour, with a lively, slightly sparkling froth. Fragrant, unbridled and vinous bouquet, with numerous scents of red fruit. Extraordinarily lively taste, very fresh, “cheerful and unrestrained”, good body and a smooth texture.

Duca Enrico 1990, tasted after two decades, surprises with an impact rich in spicy scents, of dried rose and ripe cherry, and of balsamic scents, which enrich the olfactory complexity. On the palate it is elegant but with a still rough tannin, which announces an interesting future. Duca Enrico, produced for the first time in 1984, is one of the symbolic wines of Italian and international enology. Primo Nero d’Avola in purity in the history of Sicilian wines, this noble red, which comes only from some very select vineyards within the Suor Marchesa Estate, is a wine with an aristocratic charm and unmistakable style.

Vinupetra is a DOC red Etna, produced in the Calderara vineyard in c.da Feudo di Mezzo in Castiglione di Sicilia (Northern Etna) at 700 m s.l.m .. Cultivation is done by hand using natural products. In vinification, fridges, yeasts and filtration are not used. Transfer and bottling are carried out according to the phases of the moon.
