The production of the northern Rhône is mainly aimed at red wines, and the most prestigious names are Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu.

The most extraordinary example of wine excellence in the southern Rhône Valley is Châteauneuf-du-Pape: thirteen different grapes can be used to produce it, and the result is a ruby-colored product with an elegant structure, hints of berries and delicate nuances floral.
