Château La Fleur-Pétrus Pomerol 2017
The personality of Château La Fleur-Pétrus lies in the combination of the large gravelly and clay soils of the Pomerol plateau.
The vineyard, located at an altitude of 33 to 38 meters, draws its identity from the nuances of the soil and elevation. The predominantly gravelly plots bring great elegance, while the predominantly clay plots produce velvety, dense and structured wines.
Château La Fleur-Pétrus is mainly composed of Merlot, which brings suppleness and generosity. The Cabernet Francs, planted on gravel and fine clay, contribute to the whole with their rigor and complexity, while a small percentage of Petit Verdot, planted on fine gravel, brings a spicy touch on the finish.
The whole combines an elegance characteristic of the vintage with a generosity and a structure typical of the great Pomerol wines.
Careful tasting reveals remarkable finesse and complexity with a hint of violet.
