Colour: The wine has an intense and deep ruby red colour, often with violet reflections.
Bouquet: The aromatic bouquet is complex and inviting, with a combination of ripe fruit notes, such as dark cherries, raspberries and blueberries, together with hints of spices, aromatic herbs and light hints of toasted wood.
Taste: On the palate it is a structured and powerful wine, with well integrated tannins. Flavors of composed black fruit, spices, leather, tobacco and a slight minerality can be detected. The wine is often characterized by a good acidity which gives it freshness and a long persistence on the finish.
Ageing: This wine is known for its exceptional aging potential. Older vines contribute to greater complexity and depth in the wine, which develop and refine over time. With adequate aging in the bottle it can evolve and reach its maximum expression, offering an experience worthy of a Grand Cru.
