The aromatic bouquet of Pétrus 2019 is rich and complex. Notes of ripe black fruit emerge, such as plums, blueberries and black currants, together with hints of dark cherries. One can also perceive floral notes, such as violet, and a slight nuance of sweet spices.
On the palate it offers an extraordinary sensory experience. It is a rich, concentrated and well structured wine. Black fruit flavors dominate, with a combination of plum, blackcurrant and blueberry, enhanced by a subtle presence of spices such as vanilla and cinnamon. The tannins are elegant, velvety and well integrated, with considerable depth and complexity. The wine has a remarkable persistence, with a long and pleasantly persistent finish.
Petrus' Gran Vin is characterized by a structure of great balance. It has good acidity which gives freshness to the wine and supports its elegance. The tannic structure is refined and harmonious, giving the wine a soft and silky texture.
