The Demosthenes family, among stamps and deeds, has been producing wine since before 1882. Initially there were few of their peasants who took care of the vineyards and the wine produced was destined for the house, guests and friends.
The company is today managed by Marco Calcaterra, Agronomist and Winemaker, who actively takes care of the administrative, agronomic, oenological and commercial areas: relying on the support of the family: his mother Maria Stella Demostene, his father Giuseppe and his two brothers, as well as on a staff with over twenty years experience, supported in recent years, by the consultancy of Carlo Ferrini, acclaimed internationally renowned winemaker.
Avide is very attentive to the environmental sustainability of its products, from the vineyards to the bottles.
Sustainability is the concept that defines the methods of cultivation of the grapes and the territory in general that prefer prudent and measured techniques, respecting and safeguarding the environment and its biodiversity.
