Salvatore Murana has always had a passion for wine, since childhood he has breathed, seen, lived harvest and vinification. The original spirit of Pantelleria lives intact on the steep coasts and among the terraces overlooking the sea of the Martingana locality where Salvatore Murana, with tenacity and obstinacy, cultivates the oldest vineyards of his company from which a passito is already entered into the myth. On the rocky terraces of Pantelleria, the Zibibbo vineyards are cultivated. Due to the nature of the soil and the climate of this island, the center of the Mediterranean, the vines grown with a low sapling produce few bunches of grapes, which are harvested at the end of August, left to dry in the sun for 30 days. The grapes are then pressed and the must, rich in sugars and perfumes, is fermented to give life to a wine that offers pleasant sensations. The fruit of so many sensations is due to the particular nature of Pantelleria and the link to our ancient heroic traditions.

This is the name of the town of Pantelleria where the largest concentration of vineyards on the island exists and where, for generations, the family of Salvatore Murana has lived. The east-north-east position and the special conformation of the land make Khamma an oasis of green that is reflected in the deep blue sea.
