It is distinguished by its elegant and delicate aroma of apple and its aromas of spices and gooseberries. The finish of the mouth, persistent, is characterized by aromas of poached pear and red berries.
The wine areas selected to produce this wine are all located on the Grand Cru Kaefferkopf, hills facing south-east with mostly granite and limestone soils.
